The School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) offers a number of merit-based academic scholarships to entering students in the Master of Arts in Global Governance program.

To be recommended for a scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a fully- admitted student entering the first semester of the MAGG program.
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher (or Master’s degree GPA of 3.5 or higher)
  • Submit a one page, written statement describing the reasons why the applicant merits this academic scholarship. The statement should highlight the candidate’s academic and professional accomplishments such as awards, volunteer service performed, and community or professional involvement. Also the candidate should discuss their career aspirations.
  • Complete application form, to download application, please click here.

All awards are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Students are encouraged to submit their application as early as possible. Since the number of awards is limited, not all students who meet the criteria are guaranteed an award. The total number and amount of the awards will vary on the resources available.

The Scholarship Committee with meet in March and May to review the applications.

Application and written statement should be emailed to Marta Torres at torremar@fiu.edu.
